Jessica not stepping into Julia's shoes

Washington (ANI): Jessica Simpson has dismissed reports that she is stepping into Hollywood actress, Julia Roberts" shoes. Recent reports claimed that the singer/actress has signed to star in a remake of Roberts" hit movie Pretty Woman.

An American tabloid said that Simpson is looking forward to reprise the role of a prostitute, played by Roberts, in the 1990 original. It quoted a source saying, "This one's got 'hit' written all over it. Her father (and manager) Joe has been telling anyone who will listen that she's the next Julia."

However Simpson's publicist has slammed all the reports in a statement to TheCelebrityTruth.com. "There is no truth to this. Jessica is in Nashville," Contactmusic quoted the publicist, as saying.
