Johnny Depp not dying for an Oscar

Washington (ANI): Actor Johnny Depp has revealed that he does not wish to win an Academy Award - because he's afraid of getting up in front of huge audiences. Depp won an Oscar nomination in 2003 for his role as Jack Sparrow in 'Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl,' and again in 2004 for his part in 'Finding Neverland.'

However, the 44-year-old actor has never actually bagged the coveted award and he never wants to. "I don't want to get up in front of all these people and thank them. It scares the s***t out of me," Contactmusic quoted Depp, as saying.

"The nomination was enough for me. I felt very honoured. It's not really about the awards, though, it's about the work for me. I just love acting," he added.
