Kevin James to write, act and produce Mall Cop

Washington (ANI): Actor Kevin James has signed on to write, produce and star in Columbia Pictures comedy "Mall Cop." The 'King of Queens" star will be penning the script alongside Nick Bakay. The movie revolves around on a mild-mannered security guard thrust into action when highly organized thieves take over his mall, reports Variety.

Also in the producer"s seat on the pic is Adam Sandler and his Happy Madison shingle. The production house previously produced the Sandler-James starrer "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry." James made his film debut in the 2005 romantic comedy, Hitch, alongside Will Smith and Eva Mendes.
