Kidman lingerie acts as a saviour

Washington, (ANI): Aussie beauty Nicole Kidman is really grateful that she wears lingerie unlike some celebrities, for it was her undergarments that acted as her saviour from a recent faux pas. The 40-year-old actress shocked on-lookers with her see-through dress when she arrived at the ARIA awards in Sydney.

'The Others" star was wearing a short black dress, which was almost completely transparent and clearly showed her black thong and bra set underneath. Kidman in an interview said that she spent a full five minutes posing for photographs and signing autographs without realising that the noisy reception at Sydney's Acer Arena was because of her dress.

After realising the fashion faux pas at the awards, Kidman and her hubby Keith Urban fell down in fits of giggles. "That was terrible. I got out of the car and it was sunny, so I was like, 'Oh my gosh,' and kept asking my husband, 'Is my dress see-through?' And he went: 'Yep.' So I was like: 'Give me my coat!'" Contactmusic quoted her, as telling British radio station Heart FM.

"I didn't realise (the photographers) had got me. But I do wear lingerie, so we weren't in dire straits," she added.
