Washington (ANI): Singer/actress Mandy Moore claimed that she prefers keeping away from booze and drugs.

The 23-year-old revealed that she preferred just a glass of wine to be in 'control'. "I have a better time enjoying one glass of wine and just being relaxed. It's a bit of a control thing - I don't like not being in control of my words," Contactmusic quoted Moore, as saying.

The License To Wed actress insisted that she was not a 'tortured artiste' like many others who relied on dope to feel better. "Maybe for some people drink and drugs work for them, but I'm not a tortured artiste. I wouldn't turn to some sort of substance to make me feel better, I'd turn to writing," she said.
