Michelle Pfeiffer wants Jessica Simpson

Washington (ANI): Even though she hasn"t exactly set the big screen on fire, it seems Jessica Simpson has somehow found a fan in actress Michelle Pfeiffer. Pfeiffer, who starred in Grease 2, claims she has been approached about an updated version of the high school hit, a possible remake of “Grease" (1978). But she says she will be onboard if Simpson lands the lead role of Sandy, a role which had first been played by Olivia Newton-John.

“It's a great idea, and I hear they would like to get Jessica Simpson for the role of Sandy. She would be good," the New York Post quoted Pfeiffer as saying. Michelle also added that she would like to play the role of Principal McGee.“She is fun and has some great put-down lines," she added. Though she found her role in “Grease 2" disgusting.

“I hated that film with a vengeance and could not believe how bad it was. At the time, I was young and didn't know any better . . . I hear it's a cult movie now," she stated.
