Paris Hilton banned from Munich's Oktoberfest

London (ANI): Paris Hilton has been banned from attending Munich"s Oktoberfest after she “cheapened" the event last year.'Oktoberfest' is a two-week festival held each year in Munich, Bavaria, Germany during late September and early October. It is one of the most famous events in the city and the world's largest fair, with some six million people attending every year, reports the Sun.

Last year, the socialite angered locals when she arrived at the event in a traditional Bavarian dress and plaits to promote a brand of canned wine. The locals slammed the organizers for making the event look 'shabby". Munich tourism chief Gabriele Weishaeupl revealed that celebrity promotions “are completely prohibited by the new festival rules" this year.
