London (ANI): Actress Renee Zellweger shocked fans at a concert in New York with her skinny frame. The actress is well known for her fuller-figure look in the film Bridget Jones Diary in 2001 where she played Bridget Jones. But the 38-year-old actress's appearance at the Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers gig left the spectators surprised at her incredible weight reduction.

"It's almost as if she's wasting away," the Daily Mail quoted one concert-goer, as saying. "Her legs and arms were incredibly thin. Perhaps she's simply been overdoing the gym workouts." The Oscar winning actress gained pounds by gorging on pizza, doughnuts and beer to play the role of Bridget Jones and the sequel The Edge of Reason. At the time, she said: "One doughnut does not do a thing. You've got to eat 20 a day for at least five weeks to get results."

Although the actress remains silent on the subject of her weight loss, she is reportedly following a microbiotic diet of lean fish, rice and vegetables along with two-hour daily workouts with a personal trainer.
