Gellar dropped from Alice in Wonderland movie

New York, (ANI): Sarah Michelle Gellar has been dropped at the lead in 'Eat me, Drink me", a flick inspired by Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland stories. Gellar was to play Alice but a source revealed that casting directors were in talks with former Lost star Maggie Grace.

The two actresses are currently co-starring in 'Suburban Girl" alongside Alec Baldwin. What has people wonder though is the fact that Grace has been thought to be director Marcus Nispel's second choice. 'Eat me, Drink me" picks up Alice's tale a few years after her first adventures in Wonderland.

The movie has her as a disturbed young woman mourning the death of her parents as she returns to the land of talking animals and the wicked Queen of Hearts.
