Whoopi
Goldberg
might
join
ABC
talk
show
'The
View'
as
a
permanent
host,
as
the
show
bosses
are
in
final
talks
with
the
actress/comedian.
The
51-year-old
who
has
been
a
frequent
guest
host
on
the
show
will
be
a
replacement
for
Rosie
O'Donnell,
who
left
the
show
in
May.
ABC
Daytime
president
Brian
Frons
feels
that
Goldberg
has
been
'terrific'
as
a
guest
host
but
no
deal
was
final
yet.
"We
have
no
closed
deal," Variety
magazine
quoted
Frons,
as
saying.
Unlike
most
guest
stars
who
aren't
allowed
much
opportunity
to
speak,
Goldberg
speaks
her
mind
and
made
sure
all
her
opinions
were
known.
In
one
instance,
Goldberg
told
an
interrupting
Joy
Behar,
co-host
of
the
show,
to
let
her
finish
first.
The
show
bosses
are
also
in
talks
with
'Everybody
Loves
Raymond' actress
Sherri
Shepherd,
as
they
are
looking
for
two
hosts,
as
when
Star
Jones
Reynolds,
was
fired
from
the
show
in
2006,
nobody
took
her
place.
According
to
a
source,
both
the
deals
will
be
finalised
by
next
week.
