Rocky top Best Sports Film poll

London (ANI): Sylvestor Stallone's hit film Rocky has been named the best ever sports film in a poll by movie buffs. The 1976 boxing classic, which stars Stallone as an underdog battling to become the world champion heavyweight, won 20 per cent of the vote in a survey by LOVEFILM.com. The second position went to Cool Runnings, a comedy about the Jamaican Olympic Bobsled team.

Clint Eastwood's Oscar-winning Million Dollar Baby took the third place, reports the Mirror. There was a tie for the fourth spot between Tom Cruise's troubled sport agent turn in Jerry Maguire and Martin Scorsese's acclaimed boxing classic Raging Bull.

Other top 10 places were taken by baseball tale Field Of Dreams, basketball comedy White Men Can't Jump, Chariots Of Fire, war epic Escape to Victory and slapstick golf comedy Caddyshack. The Best Ever Sports Films are:
