Charlie Sheen marries real estate investor

Washington (ANI): American actor Charlie Sheen and real estate investor Brooke Mueller tied the knot at a private estate in Los Angeles on Friday May 30. The "Two and a Half Men" star has been engaged to Mueller since last summer. "They're well matched and incredibly happy," People quoted a friend of the couple as saying.

There were about 60 close friends and family members, who witnessed the union between 42-year-old Sheen and 30-year-old Mueller, and among them were Grey's Anatomy star Eric Dane and actress Rebecca Gayheart, who first introduced the couple in 2006. "Brooke really wanted to walk down the aisle in a big way, but Charlie insisted they keep it simple and small," a source said.

The Platoon actor had proposed to Mueller in Costa Rica last June with a 500,000 dollars custom-designed 11-carat yellow diamond and platinum ring from jeweller Lord Alon Barak. The two are expected to attend the Chrysalis Butterfly Ball in Los Angeles on Saturday May 31, an event where they made their first public appearance as a couple two years ago. The newlyweds have also asked their guests to make a donation to the Chrysalis: Changing Lives Through Jobs charity and to Pugs 'N Pals, a dog rescue charity, instead of giving them gifts.

Both of them are looking forward to their future together and are eager to start a family, an insider said. "Brooke is hoping to get pregnant very soon," the insider added. Sheen is already a father of three daughters, 4-year-old Sam, 2-year-old Lola with his ex-wife Denise Richards, and 23-year-old Cassandra with ex-girlfriend Paula Profitt.
