Clooney to reprise Dr. Doug Ross role

Washington (ANI): Actor George Clooney is all set to reprise his Dr. Doug Ross character for the finale of medical drama E.R., according to former castmate Noah Wyle. In recent months, the actor made it clear that he will not return to the show, but pal Wyle insists there are secret plans to bring Clooney back to E.R., where he got his big break.

"From what I heard, George said, 'Absolutely, schedule permitting'," Contactmusic quoted Wyle, as saying. Wyle revealed that Clooney won't be the only former castmate coming back for episodes next year (09) he'll be starring in a storyline opposite Eriq La Salle.

However, Juliana Margulies, who portrayed nurse Carol Hathaway on the show, turned down an invitation to reprise her role for the final series of the medical drama, because she doesn't think her character''s storyline can be improved.
