Clooney to bring Osama's driver's story to silver screen

Hamdan, a resident of Guantanamo Bay for seven years, was convicted by a U.S. military tribunal of aiding the international terrorist and was sentenced to five-and-a-half years in prison. In his book, Mahler reportedly portrays the driver and his Navy lawyer, Charles Swift, sympathetically as the 'little guys' up against the 'powerful forces of the U.S. Government.' During the trial, Swift insisted that Hamdan only took the high-paying job in order to raise his family.
