will
be
honoured
for
his
work
in
helping
black
students
complete
their
education
by
United
Negro
College
Fund
(UNCF).
The
actor
and
his
wife
Pauletta
will
be
lauded
by
UNCF,
reports
Contactmusic.
They
will
bestow
upon
the
couple
the
prestigious
Frederick
D.
Patterson
Award,
a
prize
given
to
those
who
have
made
a
significant
contribution
to
advancing
black
education.
The
Hollywood
star
recently
directed
and
starred
in
The
Great
Debaters
a
movie
inspired
by
a
black
college
debate
team
battling
an
all-white
Ivy
League
university
team
during
the
legal
segregation
of
the
1930s.
The
couple
will
receive
the
award
at
a
UNCF
dinner
in
New
York
on
March
7,
2008.
