latest
actor
to
join
the
star-studded
cast
of
Mira
Nair's
"Amelia," is
Ewan
McGregor.
The
'Moulin
Rouge'
star
will
be
joining
the
likes
of
Hilary
Swank,
Richard
Gere
and
Virginia
Madsen,
who
have
already
been
roped
in
for
playing
various
characters
in
the
movie.
Ronald
Bass"s
screenplay
traces
the
story
of
the
legendary
aviatrix
(Swank)
and
records
her
rise
to
fame,
marriage
to
publisher
c)
and
passionate
affair
with
Gene
Vidal
(McGregor),
father
of
author
Gore
Vidal.
It's
been
a
long
time
since
the
filmmakers
have
been
trying
to
land
McGregor
but
could
not
work
out
a
feasible
schedule,
reports
Variety.
After
completing
"I
Love
You,
Philip
Morris" alongside
Jim
Carrey,
the
actor
will
start
working
on
Ron
Howard's
Da
Vinci
Code
follow-up
"Angels
and
Demons"
in
early
June
and
will
be
sandwiching
the
"Amelia"
role
in
between.
Produced

the

is
being
shot
in
Toronto.
