Radcliffe compares new Harry Potter with Trainspotting

Radcliffe
has
compared
the
latest
Harry
Potter
movie
to
Trainspotting,
the
cult
movie
about
a
group
of
heroin
addicts
in
late
1980s
Edinburgh
and
their
passage
through
life.
The
young
actor
recently
wrapped
up
work
on
the
sixth
Potter
movie
The
Half-Blood
Prince,
and
admits
that
moments
in
the
film
are
similar
to
scenes
in
Trainspotting,
which
starrer
Ewan
McGregor,
Ewen
Bremner,
Jonny
Lee
Miller,
Kevin
McKidd,
Robert
Carlyle
and
Kelly
Macdonald,
reports
Contactmusic.
"There's
a
fair
amount
of
sexual
energy
and
drug
parallels.
We
have
a
couple
of
Trainspotting
moments," he
said.
"That's
two
films
I
never
thought
would
be
mentioned
in
the
same
breath."
The
new
Harry
Potter
flick
is
scheduled
to
hit
screens
the
world
over
in
November
2008.
It
will
see
Radcliffe
returning
as
the
boy
wizard,
as
well
as
Rupert
Grint
and
Emma
Watson
reprising
their
roles
as
Ron
Weasly
and
Hermione
Granger
respectively.
