Washington (ANI): Brit star Daniel Radcliffe has compared the latest Harry Potter movie to Trainspotting, the cult movie about a group of heroin addicts in late 1980s Edinburgh and their passage through life.

The young actor recently wrapped up work on the sixth Potter movie The Half-Blood Prince, and admits that moments in the film are similar to scenes in Trainspotting, which starrer Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller, Kevin McKidd, Robert Carlyle and Kelly Macdonald, reports Contactmusic.

"There's a fair amount of sexual energy and drug parallels. We have a couple of Trainspotting moments," he said. "That's two films I never thought would be mentioned in the same breath." The new Harry Potter flick is scheduled to hit screens the world over in November 2008. It will see Radcliffe returning as the boy wizard, as well as Rupert Grint and Emma Watson reprising their roles as Ron Weasly and Hermione Granger respectively.
