Heath Ledger was a regular heroin addict

Believe it or not, Heath Ledger had become a regular addict of cocaine and heroin in the past year and often got so high on drugs that his exasperated girl friend Michelle Williams was forced to throw him out of their Brooklyn home! A recent report said that Michelle couldn't take it any more. Heath reportedly would not show up for two to three days, and all of a sudden he would show up on her doorstep, an absolute wreck.

The report says that Heath was partying and doing drugs that Michelle didn't like. She was even against the company he was keeping and gave him an ultimatum. Michelle threatened to get custody of their girl Matilda. Although Heath wanted to make it work, he was so addicted that nothing worked.

Michelle said that Heath was hanging out with a bad crowd and wasn't cleaning up his act. He was making absolutely no effort to give up heroin. He wasn't sleeping or communicating with anyone either.

It may be mentioned here that Ledger's lifeless body was found in his Broome Street loft in SoHo last week along with six types of prescription pills. Authorities believe he overdosed, although the cause of death won't be made official until toxicology tests are finished.
