"Hef is like a father to her,” Kendra's fiancee

Washington (ANI): It seems things are quite cordial between Hugh Hefner and his ex-girlfriend Kendra Wilkinson's fiance Hank Baskett, for the NFL star has said that the Playboy mogul is 'like a father' to him. It was Hefner who disclosed the couple's engagement and offered to host their wedding reception at the Playboy mansion.

"Hef is like a father to her so he's going to be the one to give her away. That's why I wanted his blessings and her mom's blessing," People quoted Baskett as telling an ABC affiliate in Philadelphia. The Philadelphia Eagles player was all praise for his bride-to-be and called her the most compassionate women. He said: "Kendra has one of the biggest hearts and that's one of the things that really drew me to her."

Talking of what makes their relationship work, Baskett said: "Both of us like to stay home and wear sweats [more] than go out and party. Ever since I met her, this is the happiest I've ever been in my life. And every day she does something else that makes me fall in love with her."

Baskett and 'The Girls Next Door' star are set to tie the knot at the Playboy mansion in June next year.
