topped
a
poll
of
the
Hot
100
gay
icons
for
the
second
straight
year.
The
Brokeback
Mountain
star
took
top
spot
in
the
poll
of
100,000
people
on
gay
website
AfterElton.com.
The
website
stated
that
it
was
not
only
Gyllenhaal's
'doe-eyed,
boy
next
door
looks'
that
helped
him
take
the
number
one
position,
but
also
that
'he
doesn't
have
an
issue
going
for
us',
adding:
"Jake
has
done
as
much
as
any
actor
to
show
straight
guys
there
isn't
a
good
reason
to
be
afraid
of
gay
guys
or
gay
roles."
Second
spot
on
the
list
went
to
John
Borrowman,
who
stars
in
'Torchwood'.
For
him,
the
website
said:
"An
outspoken
advocate
for
gay
rights,
John
has
been
out
professionally
for
years,
and
as
his
list
of
credits
prove,
his
openness
hasn't
held
him
back'.
Third
on
the
list
was
hunky
Canadian
actor
Luke
MacFarlane,
who
stars
in
the
hit
series
'Brothers
and
Sisters'.
The
top
five
was
rounded
off
by
actor
Cheyenne
Jackson
and
Neil
Patrick
Harris,
who
came
in
fourth
and
fifth
place
respectively.

list
for
the
top
10
of
the
'Hot
100
gay
icons'
is:
