Washington
(ANI):
Competing
with
other
actresses
is
not
what
American
actress
Jessica
Alba
is
concerned
about,
as
she
believes
that
they
should
stand
together
and
seek
equality
with
their
male
counterparts.
Alba's
career
as
an
actress
has
reached
a
height
that
puts
her
at
par
with
the
best
in
the
industry,
competing
for
the
top
roles
with
pals
Cameron
Diaz,
Kate
Hudson
and
Eva
Mendes.
But
instead
of
having
a
competitive
streak
or
feeling
threatened
by
her
peers,
she
is
urging
them
to
stand
up
and
demand
equal
pay
and
similar
treatment
to
male
actors.
"I'm
not
competitive
with
them
(actresses).
I
root
for
all
of
them
because
we
definitely
don't
have
equality
with
men
in
this
business," Contactmusic
quoted
her
as
saying.
"There
are
a
lot
more
men
making
a
lot
more
money
and
headlining
movies
than
women,
and
the
more
of
us
who
can
come
up
and
do
that
the
better.
I
want
my
friends
to
produce,
direct,
act,
write,
all
of
it.
I
think
being
competitive
defeats
the
whole
female
movement.
I
want
to
be
encouraging
to
my
girlfriends.
Totally,"
she
added.
