John to relive Saturday Night Fever moments

Washington (ANI): Actor John Travolta will be shaking a leg on the Oscar stage, according to reports. Insiders say that the Hairspray star will waltz while presenting the Best Original Song Oscar on Feb 24 at the Kodak Theater. Awards-show director Gil Cates wants the actor to make a waltzing appearance while singer Jon McLaughlin performs the Oscar-nominated "So Close" from Enchanted with 30 or so dancers.

"He is going to grab one of the dancers and dance his way to the podium and then present," E! Online quoted a source, as saying. Travolta and the dancer, according to the source, will rehearse for a few hours with the show's choreographer, a day before the finale.

"We have no idea what they've got planned for John this year. We won't know anything until we see Gil Cates at rehearsals this weekend," Travolta's rep said. A rep for the Oscars declined to comment.
