Kate, DeGeneres play prank on Clooney

Washington (ANI): American actress Kate Hudson and stand up comedienne Ellen DeGeneres played a prank on actor George Clooney while he was out of town. The prank had been played during Hudson's recent appearance on DeGeneres' US TV show, Contactmusic reported.

When fun-loving Hudson revealed that she was currently single, DeGeneres immediately jumped to the idea that Clooney would make a very good boyfriend for her. With the idea in mind, the two set out to have a word with the actor, whose production headquarters on the Warner Bros. lot in Los Angeles was just a few yards away from where DeGeneres films her talk show.

However, when they got to Clooney's office, they were told that the actor was out of town. Instead of being put out by his absence, the two decided to leave him a note with Hudson's phone number and magazine cover shots taped to his door. The episode aired on Tuesday (16Sep08).
