Heath Ledger polled best villain in a superhero movie

Melbourne (ANI): Late actor Health Ledger's Joker in the new Batman movie Dark Knight has been dubbed as "best villain in a superhero movie of all time". The critics have also started backing Ledger for a posthumous Oscar in their reviews of the actor's last completed film, The Dark Knight.

Los Angeles entertainment reporter Sam Rubin said on his KTLA-TV blog that Ledger's role as The Joker is "amazing work", reports Daily Telegraph. He said that Ledger "gives a blockbuster performance" and "will absolutely be nominated for an Oscar, and at this point in the year, Ledger is also a hands-down favorite to win it posthumously".

Ledger, who died in January this year, will also receive a tribute at the end of the credits in the film. The film will release on July 18.
