New
York
(ANI):
After
winning
accolades
for
her
role
in
Tennessee,
Hollywood
actress
Mariah
Carey
is
set
to
act
in
director
Lee
Daniel's
upcoming
flick
Push.
Director
Lee
Daniels
was
dazed
by
the
popstar's
performance
as
a
battered
wife
of
a
state
trooper
in
Tennessee
so
much
that
he
has
cast
her
in
his
flick
Push.
Carey
will
be
seen
portraying
a
Harlem
social
worker
ministering
to
an
obese,
HIV-positive
woman
impregnated
twice
by
her
father,
reports
the
New
York
Daily
News.
Meanwhile,
Carey
is
also
developing
a
movie
musical
based
on
her
colossal-selling
Christmas
album,
which
is
about
a
town
outside
a
city
-
perhaps
not
unlike
Mariah's
hometown
of
Huntington,
L.I.
-
where
a
ruthless
developer
wants
to
turn
it
into
one
big
mall.
