Michael Douglas to play 70's playboy

Melbourne (ANI): Michael Douglas has signed on to star in Mark Waters' comedy Ghosts of Girlfriends Past. According to Coming Soon, also starring in the movie are. The movie marks the reunion of Douglas with one of his most imminent co-stars, Archer of 'Fatal Attraction,' reports Moviehole.

Waters said that Douglas who will be playing "the Marley character, the old ghost who's dead, his Uncle Wayne, a '70s playboy, who was his mentor and he wears Bob Evans shades and guides him around the ghost world." Douglas is a two-time Academy Award winner, first as producer of 1975's Best Picture, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and Best Actor in 1987 for his role in Wall Street.

Michael Douglas has also signed on to play the lead role in the remake of the Fritz Lang"s 1956 classic Beyond a Reasonable Doubt. According to Variety, Peter Hyams will helm the project, which is scheduled to start shooting in March 3. Also starring in the movie are Amber Tamblyn, and 'John Tucker' a.k.a Jesse Metcalfe, reports Moviehole. The story sees a journalist investigate a corrupt district attorney and set himself up as a murder suspect, only for the DA to uncover the plot and incriminate the scribe.
