Washington (ANI): Hannah Montana star Miley Cyrus has revealed that she uses her guitar to get over the tough times. The teen sensation said that she had used her guitar to get through the media backlash over a controversial photo shoot for Vanity Fair magazine. Cyrus was in the media limelight after a provocative photo from an Annie Leibovitz photo shoot for the publication appeared online.

The 15-year-old claims that she got over the intense media attention by seeking refuge in her favourite instrument, hailing music as her "therapy". "My guitar is like my best friend. My guitar can get me through anything," Contactmusic quoted her as saying. "If I can sit down and write an amazing song with my guitar about what's going on in my life, then that's the greatest therapy for me," she added.
