Washington
(ANI):
Dirty
Dancing
star
Patrick
Swayze
has
denied
rumours
that
he
will
be
starring
in
the
'Point
Break'
sequel.
The
actor
is
surprised
with
the
claims
that
he
is
taking
time
out
from
cancer
treatment
to
star
in
a
sequel
to
the
1991
surfing
movie.
The
screenplay,
for
the
original
movie,
had
been
written
by
W.
Peter
Iliff,
and
he
also
penned
a
follow-up.
Iliff
insists
that
Swayze
will
be
reprising
his
role
as
bank-robbing
surfer
Bodhi
and
that
co-star
Keanu
Reeves
is
set
to
play
F.B.I.
agent
Johnny
Utah.
"We
always
wanted
Patrick
to
return.
He'll
definitely
be
surfing," Contactmusic
quoted
him
as
telling
Us
Weekly
magazine.
The
'Ghost'
actor
had
been
diagnosed
with
deadly
pancreatic
cancer
last
month
(Apr08),
but
Iliff
states
that
he
is
fighting
the
illness
well.
"Things
are
going
well,
he's
fighting
the
good
fight,"
Iliff
said.
Swayze
on
the
other
hand,
issued
a
statement
on
Wednesday
(28
May
08)
that
he
is
responding
well
to
the
cancer
treatment,
but
as
per
his
representative,
he
will
not
be
taking
part
in
the
Point
Break
sequel.
