Samantha's comments infuriate animal rights group

Washington (ANI): Hollywood actress Lindsay Lohan's galpal Samantha Ronson's remarks against gay marriage ban has left animal rights activist fuming. Expressing her views on the passing of Propositions 2 and 8, for improving protection for farm animals and outlawing same sex marriage respectively, the lesbian DJ wrote on her MySpace.com page saying:

"I just think it's frightening that people show more compassion for tomorrow's dinner than for the chef." Her comments have infuriated the animal rights group, and they have stormed her with angry emails, reports Contactmusic.

However, instead of apologising for her remarks, Ronson said in a new message, "I apparently offended some animal lovers. Um, really people? I love animals as much as anyone, I don't eat pork - so, for those of you fighting that good fight against me.., shut up!"

"I was just pointing out the fact that people in California seem to care more about animal rights than human rights. I'm not running around killing chickens for fun or firing a slingshot at a squirrel."
