Russell Brand dumps girlfriend for Britney Spears

Melbourne (ANI): After flirting with pop diva Britney Spears during the VMA's, Comedian Russell Brand has reportedly split with Aussie girlfriend Teresa Palmer in order to pursue Spears. It has also been alleged that Brand and the Hit Me One More Time hitmaker continued flirting even after the camera's stopped rolling at the VMA's.

Apparently, the two of them had an intimate dinner together at Hollywood's Little Red Door restaurant, as they were seen arriving and leaving at the same time. They, however, left separately to avoid being photographed together.

Association with Spears, who is a household name across the world, will give a perfect publicity platform to Brand, who is desperately working to emulate his British fame and notoriety in Hollywood, reports News.com.au. Just months after announcing his love for Teresa Palmer, Brand has ended his romance with the 22-year-old, as he has declared he is 'footloose and fancy free.'
