Scarlett Johansson to play Princess Diana

Here is some news for Princess Diana's fans worldwide. For the first time since her untimely demise, a film has been planned to show her in the right light. And the Lost in Translation star Scarlett Johansson is the hot favorite to take the lead role in the film based on the Princess" life.

The film will be directed by Michael Bay and sources revealed that the film is tasteful and non-sensational. According to Michael, Scarlett would be the perfect choice to play Diana as she is a very versatile actress.

Meanwhile, Scarlett is getting ready to release her debut album, 'Anywhere I Lay My Head'. In the new album, only one of the tracks is an original composition, written by Tom Waits, while the other 10 are Scarlett's interpretations of some of Tom's most famous songs. The 23-year-old actress will release the 11 track LP through Atco Records on May 20 this year.

Thus far, Scarlett has appeared in the music video for Justin Timberlake's single 'What Goes Around... Comes Around' in 2006, and sang backing vocals for the Jesus and Mary Chain at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in April 2007.
