New York (ANI): Sean (Diddy) Combs has slammed a report that two of his crew members set up a 1994 robbery that led to the shooting of rapper Tupac Shakur, and that he had been aware that the attack was about to take place. Diddy slammed the report as being a 'lie" and insisted it was 'completely false'.

"The story is a lie. It is beyond ridiculous and completely false," the New York Daily News quoted him, as saying about the Los Angeles Times story.

The rap mogul was adamant that neither he nor the late rapper Notorious BIG. "had any knowledge of any attack before, during or after it happened." He also said that he was "shocked the story was published."

Shakur was shot at the Quad recording studio in New York. The shooting also triggered the celebrated feud between East and West Coast rappers that led to the killings of Shakur and BIG.
