Melbourne
(ANI):
Hollywood
actress
Kate
Winslet
has
received
an
apology
from
Vanity
Fair
magazine
after
she
unknowingly
posed
with
genuine
fox
fur
in
the
photoshoot.
The
magazine
has
apologised
to
the
five-time
Oscar-nominated
actress
for
'miscommunication',
insisting
that
they
thought
she
was
aware
of
it.
The
33-year-old
actress,
who's
a
strong
animal
rights
advocator,
had
denied
claims
that
she
consciously
wore
fur
for
the
recent
Vanity
Fair
photoshoot,
insisting
that
she
believed
that
the
garment
was
fake.
"Although
there
were
both
real
and
fake
furs
on
set,
the
fur
used
in
the
photograph
is
real," Daily
Telegraph
quoted
Vanity
Fair
spokesman,
as
saying.
"We
thought
Miss
Winslet
was
aware
of
this
and
we're
sorry
for
the
miscommunication,"
he
added.
Winslet's
rep
also
said
that
the
actress
didn't
know
the
garment
was
made
of
genuine
fox
fur.
"She
thought
it
was
false.
There
was
apparently
false
fur
there
and
real
fur
there.
And
she
definitely
understood
it
was
false,"
said
her
spokeswoman.
"Kate
never
wears
fur.
She's
very
firm
on
that."
