Zac Efron fears female frenzy

Melbourne (ANI): American actor and singer Zac Efron demanded a private tent on the set of his new movie 'Seventeen Again", so that he could escape his female fans. The 20-year-old 'High School Musical' star was so terrified of being mobbed during a scene on location at a high school, that he asked bosses for a place to hide.

''Zac was petrified about being surrounded by students while shooting at a Los Angeles school, so he had producers erect a tent he could duck into every time the school bell rang,'' Daily Telegraph reported a source as telling Showbizspy.com. Efron is currently dating his High School Musical co-star Vanessa Hudgens, who is known from her controversial Internet nude picture scandal.

''The pitter-patter of teenage feet scared him so much he asked for a bell schedule so he could zoom into the tent before class finished,'' the source said. Zac plays the part of Mike O Donnell in the movie about a guy whose life didn't quite turn out how he wanted it to. He encounters hysterical female admirers everywhere he goes.

''Matthew (Perry) was mobbed by pretty fans at an LA burger joint, but they all switched their attention to Zac when he came in,'' the source added. Matthew Perry and Leslie Mann are the other actors starring in 'Seventeen Again'.
