London
(ANI):
Veteran
actress
Barbara
Windsor
has
slammed
rumours
that
she
is
planning
to
retire
from
show
business
after
leaving
her
long
running
soap
role.
On
Wednesday,
the
'Carry
On" star
announced
that
she
would
leave
her
role
in
hit
BBC
show
EastEnders
in
2010
after
15
years,
to
have
more
time
in
hand
for
her
younger
husband,
Scott
Mitchell.
"I'm
looking
forward
to
the
future
and
I
suppose
when
all's
said
and
done,
I
should
spend
a
bit
more
time
with
my
old
man
as
he's
not
getting
any
younger," The
Daily
Express
quoted
her
as
saying.
However,
the
72-year-old
British
actress
has
dismissed
reports
that
she
is
giving
up
acting
altogether.
Asked
whether
Windsor
is
retiring,
her
agent
Barry
Burnett
told
Now
magazine:
"Oh
no,
absolutely
not,
can
you
imagine
that?
Anyone
who
knows
Barbara
knows
what
she's
like."
Windsor
is
set
to
star
in
Tim
Burton's
forthcoming
flick
'Alice
In
Wonderland
alongside
Johnny
Depp.
