Bill Mechanic, Adam Shankman to produce 2010 Oscars

London (ANI): Movie moguls Bill Mechanic and Adam Shankman are going to produce the 2010 Oscars. Director Shankman, who once performed at the Academy Awards as a dancer, said that the honour is extra special for him.

"This is such an unbelievable honour... There is no show like the Oscars and I am thrilled to be a part of our industry''s most treasured tradition," the Daily Express quoted him as saying.

Shankman has directed films like 'Bedtime Stories", 'Hairspray" and 'The Wedding Planner". Mechanic is the chairman and CEO of Pandemonium Films and the former chairman and CEO of Fox Filmed Entertainment. The Academy Awards will take place in Hollywood on 7 March (10).
