Brittany Murphy killed by drugs just like MJ

London (ANI): Brittany Murphy"s death may have occurred due to her alleged addiction to the same prescription drugs that killed Michael Jackson. The late actress" friends claim that she got hooked on painkillers including Vicodin, after undergoing a series of plastic surgery operations.

The King of Pop was also using the same drugs before his death in July this year. "We have been very worried something like this was about to happen. Brittany has been living life on the edge," the Sun quoted a pal as saying. The friend added: “She definitely had a drug problem and we have all begged her to seek help. Sadly our words fell on deaf ears."

Murphy"s mother found her lying unconscious in the shower of her Los Angeles home on Sunday morning. The paramedics later confirmed her death was due to heart attack. Murphy had earlier dismissed reports of using cocaine, but rumors were abuzz that she suffered from eating disorder.

Murphy was married to British screenwriter Simon Monjack.
