Cameron's girlfriend arrested for smuggling heroin

Just a week has passed after the arrest of Michael Douglas' son Cameron Douglas. Now Cameron's girlfriend Kelly Sott has been arrested on Monday for allegedly trying to smuggle heroin to him in an electric toothbrush, reports People.com.

Cameron Douglas, who was craving for drugs in jail, took the help of his girlfriend Kelly to smuggle drugs into jail. Kelly Sott was busted after passing the toothbrush to Douglas while he was under home detention following a court hearing on his drug charges.

According to people.com, a security guard overheard a phone conversation in which Douglas asked for a toothbrush. According to another guard, he had already been provided with a toothbrush a few days earlier. Later that day, Sott arrived and delivered a black bag containing various items including an electric toothbrush.

"One of the guards searched the battery compartment of the toothbrush and discovered approximately '19 glassines containing a brownish substance that appeared to be heroin. A field test revealed it to be about seven grams of heroin," people.com quotes the federal complaint.

Later, Scott was arrested at the Hotel Gansevoort in Manhattan, where she was staying. While searching her hotel room, heroin, small amounts of suspected crystal methamphetamine and marijuana were fond.

However Douglas was arrested at the same hotel last week under the charges of methamphetamine-dealing. He had been on house arrest at the New York home of his stepmother, Catherine Zeta-Jones. The home is being monitored by a private security company.
