Damon mistook weight gain for Clooney's prank

Washington (ANI): Matt Damon was so unwilling to confess that he had put on weight that he thought George Clooney was playing a prank on him by paying someone to alter all his clothes so they did not fit. The actor, who put on 30lbs for his role in new movie The Informant!, said that he did not realise that he could not fit into his clothes anymore.

"I have the opposite of anorexia. I look in the mirror and I think I look great," Contactmusic quoted him as having told MTV News. "I put on some weight, not for a film just in my normal life, and suddenly none of my suits fitted.

"I was like, What's going on? I took another suit out and it didn't fit either. Honestly, what I thought was that somehow George Clooney had gotten in and paid somebody to slightly hem them. My wife said to me, Could it be that maybe you've put on some weight? I'm like, That's absurd! I look fantastic!" he added.

Matt finally realised he had been gorging on too many calorific treats, and began working out only to find that his clothes fitted again. "The truth was, of course, that I was a fat a*s. I can't believe it made more sense to me that George Clooney paid somebody to hem my suits than to admit I actually didn't fit in my suits," he said.
