Dennis Quaid escapes DUI arrest

London, (ANI): Dennis Quaid narrowly avoided DUI arrest after a nightout in West Hollywood. The Vantage Point star was leaving Philippe restaurant in the early hours of Thursday with his wife Kimberly and a friend when he jumped into the driver's seat of his Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), reports the Daily Express.

Quaid was about to speed away from the venue when a cop car pulled up alongside. The cop warned Quaid against driving home after suspecting him of drinking alcohol, saving him from a possible arrest for driving under the influence (DUI).

A video footage of the incident posted on TMZ.com shows the actor being told by the officer to 'get out of the car'. He responded to the cop, "What do you want me to do?" before requesting the policeman's permission to return to the restaurant and call a cab.
