Divorce battle revived Brinkley’s ex Cook's career

London (ANI): American model Christie Brinkley"s ex-husband Peter Cook is said to have benefited from the publicity surrounding their divorce last year, with the bitter court battle reviving his career. Cook, an architect, and Brinkley endured a lengthy break-up, during which the model accused him of harbouring a porn addiction.

The two, who share two children, had split after the model learned of her husband"s 2004 affair with a teenage assistant, hearing the details from her love rival"s concerned parents. But Cook insists he has not suffered too badly from the high-profile divorce, because it"s made him a richer man.

“I had the best two years of business during my divorce for some reason, maybe it was because I had some international business as well. After all I went through, not even a ripple in my business," the Daily Express quoted him as telling the New York Post.

The divorce was finalised in Suffolk County, New York on October 3 last year.
