Elizabeth Taylor undergoes heart surgery

Washington (ANI): Hollywood actress Elizabeth Taylor has revealed that her recent heart surgery was successful. The legendary actress told fans on her Twitter page that the procedure to repair a 'leaky' valve went off smoothly.

"My heart procedure went off perfectly," Us magazine quoted the 77-year-old as saying. "It's like having a brand-new ticker. Thank you for your prayers and good wishes. I know they all helped," she added.

The star has previously undergone two hip replacement procedures and operation to remove a benign brain tumour.
