away
with

gongs
at
the
award
ceremony,
reports
Variety.
Danny
Boyle
won
Best
Director
award,
while
writer
Simon
Beaufoy
also
won
an
award
for
the
film.
Slumdog
Millionaire
was
also
named
the
best
film.
Actor
Health
Ledger
was
awarded
the
posthumous
Golden
Globe
for
his
role
as
Joker
in
the

Dark
Knight.
He
won
the
Best
Supporting
Actor
at
the
awards.
