Harry Potter actor James Waylett, who has played Vincent Crabbe in six Harry Potter movies and the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, has been arrested for allegedly carrying drugs in his car along with his friend in central London on Tuesday.
It is said that the police stopped his car on the suspicion of carrying drugs. After raiding the car, they found the Marijuana filled in bags. They arrested the 19-year-old actor along with his friend and took them to Central London police station.
According to the sources, the police officers later raided his home, which he shared with his mother, sister and brother in Camden, north London. They found 10 cannabis plants worth 2,900 dollars and the plants were cultivated under powerful hydroponic lights.
The actor and his pal were bailed until a date in July pending further inquiries. Legal experts claim that cannabis is considered a class B drug and the maximum punishment for growing the plant will be a 14-year jail sentence.
However, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, which features James Waylett, will be released in Britain in July 17.
