Jennifer Hudson back to work after family tragedy

By Super Admin

Washington (ANI): Jennifer Hudson made a stunning comeback when she performed at the Super Bowl in her first public appearance after the brutal murders of her mother, brother, and nephew last year. Marking her return to the spotlight, the actress sang the U.S. National Anthem in front of millions of viewers before the big game in Tampa, Florida on February 1.

Along with the crowd, her A-list pals were also moved by her rousing rendition that, so much so, that they flooded her with calls. Show producer Rickey Minor said that the singer returned to her dressing room to find her two cell phones ringing "like slot machines". And one of the moving text messages was from her former Dreamgirls co-star Jamie Foxx.

"His (Foxx's) text said ''Amazing. It brought tears to my eyes.'' She's just getting so much love," Contactmusic quoted Minor as saying. He added: "This was such an important performance, because it's the first time everyone has seen Jennifer. But she's in such a great place, with such great spirits and time can heal her wounds. She's on fire right now and totally grounded."
