Hugh Jackman beats Avatar star Sam Worthington

Washington (ANI): Actor Hugh Jackman is film fans' favourite Aussie hunk, says a new poll. The 41-year-old has beaten Avatar star Sam Worthington and Eric Bana to top the poll, conducted by movie tickets website Fandango.com.

The website asked thousands of film fans to pick their favourite Aussie sex symbol as part of a new campaign with Hollywood's Australians in Film, and Jackman was the clear winner. Among others who made the top 10 were Simon Baker, Chris Hemsworth, Ryan Kwanten and House star Jesse Spencer.

Aussie film star Russell Crowe was a notable omission. "Russell Crowe was not one of the choices as folks felt that his hunk status might be in question after some recent roles. We'll see where he ends up after Robin Hood," Contactmusic quoted a Fandango source as saying.
