Jade Goody becomes an inspiration

The whole world came to know about the cancer-stricken reality TV star Jade Goody for one wrong reason. She was criticised for her alleged racial remarks on Indian actress Shilpa Shetty at the Celebrity Big Brother reality show. Two years after the forgettable incident happened, Goody is in the news again, and this time it is for her brave battle against cervical cancer.

When everything was turning right, misfortune struck. She was taking part in the Bigg Brother show hosted by Shilpa when she was diagnosed with cancer. Sadly, she is fighting a losing battle with her health deteriorating every passing day. However, she has become an inspiration for many and she has brought about awareness on cervical cancer that no amount of publicity could.

In fact, the world is better off now, as women folks are aware that cervical cancer is treatable if diagnosed early. British campaigners are even pressurising the government to lower cancer screening age limit from 25 to 20 years in England.

Goody has succeeded in spreading awareness on cervical cancer!
