Tweed begs Goody to forgive his criminal past

London (ANI): Jade Goody's husband spent an entire night holding his cancer-stricken wife's hand while begging for forgiveness for his criminal record. Jack Tweed, who was temporarily released from prison, was recently found guilty of drunken assault on a taxi driver after losing his temper over the fare.

The 21-year-old was given a reminder that he would not be provided any special treatment and will be sentenced on March 26. He later headed to see his better half at London's Royal Marsden Hospital where she is recovering from a surgery to relieve her of excruciating pain.

The former jailbird was previously sentenced to 18 months in prison for attacking a 16-year-old with a golf club and served just four months before being released on a curfew and with an electronic tag. Tweed revealed, after having obtained special permission from probation chiefs, he spent the night with the terminally ill Big Brother star.

"I was given permission to spend the night with Jade. I'm so happy - I just wish I could be there all the time," the Sun quoted Jack as saying. "I told her I'm so sorry for my behaviour in the past. It's meant I haven't been there for her the whole time. "I told her I've let everyone down but have learned my lesson. And I said I'm worried that, once again, I won't be there for her and the family when they really need me. I just want to be with her as much as I can," he added.
