Jade Jagger extends support to Jade Goody

London (ANI): 'The Rolling Stones' frontman Mick Jagger's daughter, Jade, has said that her heart cries to see how her namesake reality TV star Jade Goody is battling cancer. The jewellery designer has even contributed to a cervical cancer fund supported by Goody.

“It's heartbreaking, to see what she's going through," the Daily Express quoted the socialite as saying at a London Fashion Week MAC party at London's Hospital club. Other guests at the party included The Rolling Stones member Ronnie Wood's estranged wife, Jo, and brewery heiress Jasmine Guinness, while Jade Jagger's boyfriend Dan Williams manned the turntables

“I've just been spending time in India, where Jade's cause is really dominating the headlines. Jade was featuring on the Indian version of Big Brother when she was first told about her illness, and I'd just bought a house on the west coast, near Goa," Jade said.

"I'd been spending a lot of time there. Because of my name, people kept confusing me with her, even though we are very different. I was really affected by the TV coverage, and very much moved, as were a lot of the local people I was with. We've made a donation to her appeal, and I've got to say, my thoughts are with her and her kids right now. I wish her and the boys all the best," she added.
