Jessica clarifies comments on being overworked mum

Melbourne (ANI): Sarah Jessica Parker has clarified her earlier comments about being an overworked mum. The Sex and the City actress, who plays Carrie Bradshaw in the hit series, was said to be overwhelmed by her workload.

Reports alleged that the 44-year-old star regretted returning to the role soon after the arrival of twin daughters in June this year. But the mum-of-three, married to actor Matthew Broderick, has now cleared the mist, explaining what she really meant.

"No, I never said that, sadly, no," the Herald Sun quoted Parker as saying."What I was trying to say was you can''t really plan the timing of the birth of a child and if I had any control over things like the schedule for Sex and the City I would have loved to have pushed it back."You know, I went back to work when my daughters were fairly young. In an ideal world I would have spent the first 10 months at home.

"But my situation is very common to a lot of working mothers who go back to work sooner than they might want. "Regret is a word I wouldn''t really use to define the complication of schedules and time. These are great problems, really good problems," she added.
